Our Mission
To empower, educate, inspire and immerse underserved/underrepresented youth ages 12 – 24 in all things STEAM and careers in tech.

Our Vision

  • To increase the number of youth from underserved/underrepresented areas in the digital space by empowering youth ages 12 – 24 to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities, and builders of their own futures through exposure to all things STEAM and careers in tech.
  • To provide education programs to underserved/underrepresented youth with the skills to occupy some of the 1.4 million tech/computing/STEM related job openings expected to be available in the U.S. by 2020, and to train and certify 10,000 youth by 2025 in the top 10 demanding tech careers.

What We Do
We introduce youth ages 12 – 24 to all things STEAM and careers in tech via hackathons, bootcamps, workforce development training and certification programs.

Classes/Workshops
Our ongoing STEAM classes/workshop provides self paced hands on learning experiences for youth. Classes are offered all year long and students can learn at their own pace up to 2 days per week. There is a monthly tuition/membership and includes access to a full scale Youth Makerspace and snack shack.

Digital Badge Workforce Development Training and Certification Programs

This 24 week immersive program was designed to helps students develop the skills and professional network needed to capitalize on market demand in the most in demand tech jobs for 21st century.

Code For Hood was recognized by the City of West Sacramento in 2018 for Civic Leadership and building amazing programs for youth in Northern California.

Code For Hood is a program under our 5013c non profit organization, Operation Innovate.
